Centers on the filming week of the pilot episode of the sitcom Brooklyn Nine Nine. Goes through the struggles of series creators Dan Goor and Michael Schur in getting their vision for this show made by the series premiere. They contend with NBC censors and budget concerns and making sure all the actors flow well together. It is much like the SNL 1975 biopic as it is tense throughout as Goor and Schur and the crew try to prove through the pilot that the show has staying power.
