Freddy, just a year after working at his town theater MovieLand, is given the chance of a lifetime: one night alone after the boss suddenly has to leave. Seizing the opportunity, and ignoring others, Freddy and his best friend Alexis decide to use this to do a special screening of The End, their favorite horror movie. Just as the night is going smoothly an unexpected interruption happens, a bloodied woman running in. Horrified and insisting on not calling the cops the woman puzzles Freddy and the employees until a suited gentleman arrives. As the gentleman politely requests the woman back one thing stops her return, her insistence that he intends to use her as a sacrifice to a force of evil. As more masked assailants show up with the intent of getting their sacrifice back a group of underpaid employees must fight back as the possibility of total darkness becomes possible.
