Adrian Bellani is a Mestizo-Salvadoran (Native/Euro-Latino American) actor, born in Miami and raised in San Salvador, El Salvador. An accomplished equestrian at a young age, he competed and represented El Salvador in the Central American Games. He attended the American School in El Salvador, and after graduating high school, he furthered his education at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He graduated in 2004 with a degree in Finance. In 2005 he relocated to Los Angeles in order to pursue an acting career, a dream he had since he was child. His TV debut came soon after in 2005 when he booked a lead role on the NBC Daytime show "Passions." He has followed that up with various film and tv roles, including Moneyball, Battleship, Bones, Person of Interest, among others.
Sarah Chen didn't prove Vera's involvement in the first client's death, but she learned something more dangerous: she learned how to read the architecture beneath Nexus. Season two tracks Sarah's slow, methodical investigation of Vera's network as a parallel narrative to Vera's increasingly baroque attempts to contain the threat Sarah represents. Sarah approaches the problem like structural engineering — identify the load-bearing elements and the system collapses. She identifies Adrian Voss as the weak point: his partnership with Vera is real enough that he would crack under genuine pressure. Maya Reeves, the club manager, becomes Sarah's informant not out of morality but out of enlightened self-interest — she realizes Vera will sacrifice her if necessary. As Sarah circles closer, Vera adapts by doubling down: she creates new leverage, new complications, draws bigger players into her orbit. A mysterious figure named Cassandra Oakes appears — a woman who seems to understand Vera's game as well as Vera does — and throws the entire balance into chaos. By season end, the question is no longer whether Sarah can prove what Vera has done, but whether Vera's own network will consume her.
