Peter is a young boy who lives on and protects the island of Neverland with his pixie fairy Tinker Bell and Tiger Lily - a wise young shaman of the Pequeno tribe of Indians. After having lost his shadow over Kensington Gardens, Wendy retrieving it for him convinces Pan that Wendy is the one to save the peoples of Neverland. He is adventurous and self-assured of his greatness. There is something of a mystery about Pan, as his attitudes about life and aversion to growing up ponder questions of doubt about his overall trustworthiness. It is from Wendy that Peter will realize the ramifications of his terror of growing up and himself obsolete.
