Eustace Scrubb and new friend Jill Pole on a quest from Aslan to find the lost Prince Rillian, son of King Caspian, who's been missing for years; guided by signs and joined by the pessimistic Marsh-wiggle Puddleglum, they journey north, encounter giants, and are tricked into the Underworld where they must break a powerful enchantment on the Prince, eventually rescuing him and returning him to Narnia, leading to his father's happy return and their own journey back home, themes exploring deception, faith, and the power of truth.
