In the year 2142, the megacity of Ouroboros is completely enclosed beneath a massive smog canopy where natural sunlight is a highly commodified luxury reserved for the elite. On the lower levels, Vess is a hardened, cynical data-runner who smuggles physical, banned analog media. Lyra is a charismatic, underground cyber-artist who uses illegal light projections and acoustic frequencies to give the lower-class citizens a taste of the natural world. When Vess accidentally intercept a rare, uncorrupted pre-collapse hard drive containing the coordinates to a thriving, green ecosystem outside the city, she must team up with Lyra. Together, they utilize Lyra's public performances to broadcast the encoded coordinates to the masses, triggering an architectural and social revolution while evading high-tech corporate enforcers.
