Mufasa is a major character in Disney's 1994 animated feature film The Lion King, and the titular main protagonist of the 2001 direct-to-video prequel film Mufasa: The Lion King. He was son of Masego and Afia, the adoptive son of Obasi and Eshe, best friend-turned-adoptive brother, later archenemy and of Scar and the father of Simba.
