Richard was the zealous brother of Arthur Cross and the uncle of Eleanor Cross. He had aspirations to be the next director of the Cross Organisation, but the birth of his brother's daughter gets in the way of that dream. His plans were thwarted when Eleanor sought asylum in the forgotten dungeons of the Cross Manor, where "V" lies.
