One of the main characters. A young man who used the moniker of Kagekiri to seek vengeance against evildoers whom he believed to be responsible for his family's massacre. Currently being taken care of by his grandfather, but sometimes wanders alone to fight and kill evildoers until Gintoki makes him realize that vengeance won't do him any good. He seeks strength and wants to fight against the strong. His sword is his own style and his fighting style is always head-on. He has a hot-blooded personality and is quick to fight, but he has a straightforward personality that will risk his life for his friends.
