The film follows the eight main ponies of the "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" series on an exciting adventure. Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, and Spike the dragon team up once again, with new friends such as the pegasus twins Diamond Lust and Kooty Glimpse to save Equestria from the evil Queen Chrysalis, who plans to plunge the world into darkness. To defeat her, the ponies must find the ten Elements of Harmony in order to discover the Power of the Rainbow and learn to work together to save their home.
