Sunset Shimmer is the Element of Empathy. She is a unicorn turned into a human from Equestria who resides in the alternative universe as a student at Canterlot High. She is one of the protagonists and leader of the parallel universe's counterparts of the main characters. She is the rhythm guitarist for the Rainbooms and can read people's minds by physically touching them. In "Monster Mash-Up Musical", when she was transformed by the Dazzlings' Monster Machine, she turned into a swamp creature with gills, fins, webbed fingers, flippers, green skins, and scales.
