Ben Reilly, also known as the Scarlet Spider, is a Marvel Comics character who originated as a clone of Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man. He first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #149 in October 1975. Ben Reily was a clone of Peter Parker created by geneticist Miles Warren and comissioned by Norman Osborn. While imprisoned for his crimes as the Green Goblin, Osborn convinced his son Harry Osborn to attack Warren's lab.
