Soldiers Of SHIELD Modern Warfare is a 2014 American Military film that was directed by Gore Verbinski. This was the 19th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Produced by Kevin Feige and was written by Sam Mendes. The film stars Tom Cruise, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Alexander Skarsgård, Charlie Hunnam, Stephen Amell, Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Glenn Morshower, Samuel Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg, Sam Elliott, James McAvoy, Claudia Doumit, Ziyi Zhang, Nolan North and John Boyega. The film shows the two teams working together to stop a drug cartel that has weapons of mass destruction while uncovering a conspiracy.
The film was announced at Comic Con in 2012. Gore Verbinski was announced as the director for the film on the same day. All of the cast was set to return with Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Sam Elliott, James McAvoy and Ziyi Zhang announced to join them. Halfway through the project, rumours indicated that there was a feud between Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill but it turned out to be false.
Soldiers Of SHIELD Modern Warfare was released on October 28th 2014 to positive reviews. With critics hailing it the best film in the MCU. However, the film received controversy for its Post Credit Scene, showing Baron Zemo and other men killing civilians in a French Airport , in relation to the November Paris attacks. A sequel, Soldiers Of SHIELD: Ghosts was released on June 17th 2017.
