Some time after saving Bree and her parents from the Demon Skin, Aiden Jay is now living with them (mainly because one of Mr. Jay's drunken episodes went over the line) and he and Bree are an official inseparable couple. A friend of the Mayflowers, who works for the FBI, has set up a website invisible to the government calling out other werewolves who were victims of Demon Skin attacks. Now, the Mayflower mansion is a sanctuary for all homeless lycans. Since, neither of them fraternizes with humans, Aiden is the odd one out. The one werewolf who keeps being jerky to him is an orphaned lone wolf named Dylan. His friend, Issy, who's still sore (emotionally) over Bree attacking him no matter how many times she apologized, but he and Aiden still hang out from to time. Also, he's dating Queen bee Pamela Osterhaus, whose mom is letting her aunt and cousin from Arkansas stay at her house for a while. Pam's cousin, Lark Stuart, is a 15-year-old goth girl who is writing poetry and a potential novel, and she and Pam have been close since they were little. Bree suspects Lark is a witch because some jinxes occur to her whenever she sees Lark. After learning that it's true, she and her family believe they can form an alliance with the witches and find people responsible for the Demon Skins.
