A 9-year-old girl named Zelda Hudson who lives with her mother and father, Mr. & Mrs. Hudson, and her 14-year-old brother, Kurt Hudson, in a little house on Delta County, Michigan believes in mythical mushroom people just like in her storybook she reads. When the Hudson family goes camping in the Hiawatha National Forest, Zelda goes exploring in the woods for mushroom people. But when she magically gets shrunk to the size of a fly by an evil lizard sorcerer, she meets and befriends a beautiful mushroom princess named Milly (resemblance to Bo Peep from Toy Story) who is the daughter of Queen Margret, ruler of the mushroom people. In agreement, Zelda volunteers to help get rid of the lizard sorcerer, Berak, who causes all sorts of trouble around the entire kingdom. After that, Milly has to help Zelda change back to her normal size and return to her family somehow.
