Daniel Hillard, an entertainer with a talent for voices is recently divorced from Miranda (Cailee Spaeny) after messy relationships relating to Daniel acting immature and unreliable with the kids, and fighting over custody of their children; Lydia (Ever Anderson), Christopher (Brady Noon), and Natalie (Ariana Greenblatt). Miranda grants custody to her children as Daniel has visitation rights every Saturday; shared custody is contingent on Daniel finding a steady job and suitable residence within the next three months. Daniel leaves Miranda's house to move out by himself in an apartment, as he has to find a job to support himself. When Miranda advertises nanny jobs publicly for people to take care of her kids, Daniel decides to take the job by disguising himself as an elderly, female housekeeper under the name, Mrs. Euphegenia Doubtfire, to spend time with his children. Miranda meets a British guy named Stuart (Louis Partridge), a businessman who develops feelings for her as he admires her design business. While Miranda and Stuart started dating, Daniel grew jealous of Stuart.
