The Host (2016) is a disaster film directed and co-written by Bong Joon Ho. It stars Song Kang-ho as Park Gang-du, whose daughter Hyun-seo is kidnapped by a creature dwelling around the Han River in Seoul. The film is a co-production between South Korea and Japan and was produced by Chungeorahm Film.
