After a long chase Sonya manages to capture Kano but is supernaturallly pushed aside by a mysterious elderly man who refers to himself as Shang Tsung and says that Kano and The Black Dragon are under his protection and if she wants any chance at getting Kano she'll have to participate in a martial arts tournament known as....Mortal Kombat.
