Shinnok has been defeated, and a corrupted Raiden has started to wage war on the revenants who now rule the Netherrealm. Unbeknownst to everyone, the Titan, Kronika, who controls all of time has decided to undo of all of Raiden's changes, and erase him from existence. Her undoing of time creates a ripple in reality, as several heroes and villains from the past appear in the present. Some serve Kronika on promises of rewards in the new timeline, while others fight against her to preserve what they have. Based on Mortal Kombat 11.
