Jean Edmond Dujardin (born 19 June 1972) is a French actor and comedian. He began his career as a stand-up comedian in Paris before guest starring in comedic television programmes and films. He first came to prominence with the cult TV series Un gars, une fille, in which he starred alongside his partner Alexandra Lamy, before gaining success in film with movies such as Brice de Nice, Michel Hazanavicius's OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies and its sequel OSS 117: Lost in Rio, as well as 99 Francs. Dujardin garnered international fame and widespread acclaim with his performance of George Valentin in the 2011 award-winning silent movie The Artist. The role won him numerous awards, including the Academy Award for Best Actor (the first for a French actor), the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role and the Cannes Film Festival Best Actor. He later appeared in Martin Scorsese's 2013 black comedy The Wolf of Wall Street and George Clooney's 2014 historical drama, The Monuments Men. Marc started out as a heavyweight boxer before eventually joining the U.S. Marines, where he was trained as a commando.his skills led to his recruitment into the Cia. He worked with William Cross and his brother Randall Spector. Randall betrayed the CIA and was secretly smuggling and selling weapons. When Marc's lover discovered this and tried to turn him in Randall brutally murdered her with a meat cleaver. Marc hunted Randall down, but during the fight Randall was seemingly killed.Fed up with the CIA, Marc went independent and became a fierce soldier of fortune, renowned for his willingness to do anything providing the job paid well enough. While working for the terrorist Raoul Bushman Marc became increasingly disturbed by Bushman's savagery and ruthlessness. In Sudan they stumbled across archaeologist Dr. Peter Alraune's excavation of an Egyptian Pharaoh's tomb. Believing there were gold and riches within, Bushman murdered Alraune to plunder the tomb. Sickened by Bushman, Marc tried to do the decent thing and helped Alraune's daughter Marlene escape from Raoul. Annoyed with Marc's betrayal, Bushman brutally beat Spector and abandoned him in the desert so he would suffer before he died.Barely conscious Marc rested near a statue of the moon god Khonshu. Weakened from his fight with Bushman and the elements of the desert, Marc Spector died.Spector suddenly returned to life Khonshu had brought him back from the dead to be the Moon's Knight of Vengeance. he was victorious.
