Keegan-Michael Key (born March 22, 1971) is an American actor and comedian, best known for starring in the Comedy Central sketch series Key & Peele and for his six seasons as a cast member on MADtv. He has also appeared in the films Wonka, Toy Story 4, and Pitch Perfect 2. Key was born in Southfield, Michigan and raised in Detroit. His father is African-American and his mother is European-American. He was adopted as a child. In 1989 he graduated from Shrine Catholic High School in Royal Oak, Michigan. Key attended the University of Detroit as an undergraduate and earned his Master of Fine Arts at the Pennsylvania State University School of Theatre. While at The University of Detroit Mercy, he was a brother of Phi Kappa Theta.

Warren Gascoigne, the night watchman at the New York Museum of Natural History, is fired due to budget cuts, like many other employees. However, touched by his honesty during the dismissal interview, his boss offered him a new position, for which he had been looking for the ideal candidate for a very long time. He offers to be the guardian of his family mansion, located isolated in the woods further north in the state. Warren accepts, for at least a trial period, and moves there for the summer vacation with his two daughters. Quite quickly, they realize that they're not the only ones who live there, that there are also several "monsters" who live there in secret. However, understanding that there is nothing bad about them, just wanting to be at peace, the Gascoignes stay at their side, preparing to experience some adventures with these creatures who have just expanded the world of the little family of unlimited way !
