A-1 Pictures Inc. (Japanese: 株式会社A-1 Pictures, Hepburn: Kabushiki gaisha Ē-wan Pikuchāzu) is a Japanese animation studio founded by ex-Sunrise producer Mikihiro Iwata, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment Japan's anime production firm Aniplex.
It takes place in the year 2099, all of Earth’s monsters have been rounded up and confined in a South Pacific island known as Monster Island. But two feuding alien races (the Xiliens and the Kilaak) have taken control of the monsters and have released them to destroy major cities around the world. Now earth must place their hopes on a JSDF team and the king of monsters Godzilla to defeat the aliens and break their control on the monsters of Earth.
