Rieko Nakagawa is a Japanese children's literature writer and lyricist. Her first work, Iyayaen, was published in 1962, and she has published over 30 books since then. She has won multiple awards for her works, including the Kikuchi Kan Prize.
It takes place in the year 2099, all of Earth’s monsters have been rounded up and confined in a South Pacific island known as Monster Island. But two feuding alien races (the Xiliens and the Kilaak) have taken control of the monsters and have released them to destroy major cities around the world. Now earth must place their hopes on a JSDF team and the king of monsters Godzilla to defeat the aliens and break their control on the monsters of Earth.
