She gained international recognition for her role as Meiying in the 2010 remake of The Karate Kid, starring alongside Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan. A trained musician, she performed the violin as part of her character's arc in the film. Following her debut, she appeared in the drama Beijing Flickers (2012) and the mystery-drama Ink & Rain (2017).
