Meet Mark Summers, a quiet and laid-back high school student who spends his days immersed in the world of comics, particularly DC and Marvel. He has a small circle of friends: James Bullock, the bullied nerd with a genius mind; Martin Jemmy, the popular jock who excels in basketball and track; and Amber Grayson, the hot-headed yet occasionally kind-hearted beauty. Mark's world takes a dramatic turn when he starts developing superhuman abilities: telekinesis, super strength, flight, and teleportation. Confused and frightened, he confides in his parents, Amanda Summers with healing abilities and telekinesis) and Samson Summers (possessing heat vision, super strength, and flight), who reveal their identities as members of the Guardians of the Universe, a team of superheroes.
