Peter Quill got kidnapped from Earth after her mother died. For years he was with the Ravagers, and Yondu, who became a father-like figure for him. Peter became a thief and a Ravager too and got lots of adventures for years. One of his newest comission was getting the mysterious Orb. But he got arrested by the Nova Corps. After he and a bunch of crazy folks got out of jail they tried to get the Orb, before it goes to Ronan. After they got knowledge of the Orb's true nature, they got together to save the Galaxy and became its Guardians.
