Kevin McKidd (born 9 August 1973) is a Scottish television and film actor and director. He is known for his prominent television roles, including his performances as Lucius Vorenus in Rome, as Poseidon in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, and as Dr. Owen Hunt in Grey's Anatomy. He has also appeared in films such as Trainspotting, Bedrooms and Hallways, Kingdom of Heaven, The Last Legion, Hannibal Rising, The Acid House, Made of Honor and had the lead role in the cult-classic British horror film Dog Soldiers. McKidd has done voice work and voiced the character of Jezz Torrent, flame haired lead singer of the fictional Scottish hard rock band Love Fist in the video games "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City". Traded at birth with Darkseid’s son Orion, who would later adopt the human name Scott Free, he was meant to be part of a peace treaty between Apokolips & New Genesis. But when he arrived in Apokolips he was quickly disregarded by Darkseid who was meant to be his “father” and became a slave his entire childhood. He was raised and tortured in captivity by Granny Goodness and figured out he had a gift for escape arts, and could escape from anything. He eventually escaped the planet and came to earth. One of Darkseid’s female fury’s, Big Barda, was sent to capture him and bring him back but they fell in love and Big Barda betrayed Darkseid. They eventually got married. One of the first humans he got close to was an escape artist in a circus with the stage name Mister Miracle. The old man was later killed in the middle of a battle between Scott and Darkseid’s forces. Then Scott took the name Mister Miracle and become a superhero. Season one takes place in WWII when Scott escapes and first arrives on earth
