Carol leads a crew to successfully seize control of Ro-Nan's ship, the Universal. As its new captain, she adopts the Kree name "Mar-Vell." Following her journey of self-discovery through space and the defeat of the Supreme Intelligence, Carol decides to reinvent her superhero persona with a new name: Commander Marvel.
