"A Midsummer Night's Dream" follows two intertwined storylines: a romantic comedy of mistaken identities and magical interference, and a subplot of a group of amateur actors preparing a play. The play is set in Athens, where four young Athenians become entangled in a love triangle that is worsened by the magical meddling of fairies. Meanwhile, a group of working-class men are attempting to rehearse a play for the Duke of Athens' wedding, with hilarious results.
