Fan Casting Perry White in Michael Dougherty's The Man of Steel

The gruff but beloved editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet, Perry White runs a chaotic newsroom with cigar in hand and booming commands. He pressures Lois to secure interviews with Superman and investigates the mysterious Superwoman, Kem-L. When Lex Luthor gains political power, Perry refuses to publish pro-Luthor propaganda, defending journalistic integrity. During Kem-L’s meteor attack, Perry is knocked unconscious in the Planet’s collapse, surviving only because of Clark’s heroics. He represents old-school values in a world increasingly hostile to truth and heroism.
