His family never really had much money, and in turn, he wasn't fortunate enough to have much new toys, books, clothes or anything else that his friends sometimes take for granted. As he got older, he learned to appreciate what he did get to have. Especially now, because after all these years, things hadn't changed too much. He now works as a janitor for Royal Woods Middle School. His friends are Linus van Pelt, Lucy van Pelt, Schroeder, Franklin Armstrong, Fifi the poodle, Woodstock the bird, Peppermint Patty among others. He used to date the Little Red Haired Girl, but it turned out that they weren't meant to be together. That's the reason why they broke up as teens. Nowadays, he dates Marcie Johnson, the woman who runs the town's library. He has a teenaged daughter named Cat Valentine, who he adopted when she was a baby. So as funny as it sounds, Charlie Brown has had a lot of ups and downs in his life. But he wouldn't have it any other way.
