As Butler prepares for transfer from Cambodia to Merit, California (for "proper burial"), Woodhurst and Stark privately speak with Alexander Pierce and reveal their TRUE intentions regarding their undead Special Forces squad, which they codename "Shadow Company." Pierce: How will this help? Woodhurst: We bring the war home to those who betrayed it. Pierce: So you're saying you just want vengeance for us losing Vietnam? Didn't they die in combat? Stark: The government preserved the bodies. Woodhurst: My grandfather took the notes of Dr. Frankenstein to make these men, he knew death was the start. Pierce: And what do we get massacaring an entire town in cold blood with zombie soldiers? Stark: If you "save the day," nobody will think you're running this damned organization under HIM. Pierce: Well, if it keeps HIM happy, then I'll do it.
