Teenager Cady Heron was raised in Africa by her scientist parents. When her family moves to the suburbs in the United States, Cady starts attending public school and gets a quick introduction to the laws of popularity that divide her peers. Unintentionally, she ends up among an elite group of students dubbed "the powerful ones".
