Gwyneth Kate Paltrow (/ˈpæltroʊ/ PAL-troh; born September 27, 1972) is an American actress and businesswoman. The daughter of filmmaker Bruce Paltrow and actress Blythe Danner, she established herself as a leading lady, appearing primarily in mid-budget and period films during the 1990s and early 2000s, before transitioning to blockbusters and franchises. Her accolades include an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Primetime Emmy Award. Paltrow gained notice for her early work in films such as Seven (1995), Emma (1996), Sliding Doors (1998), and A Perfect Murder (1998). She garnered wider acclaim for her role as Viola de Lesseps in the historical romance Shakespeare in Love (1998), for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress. The Lady Liberators, the world's finest team of all-female superheroes. The original members of the team were Mockingbird, Black Widow, Valkyrie, and She-Hulk, who were all mentally controlled by the evil Amora the Enchantress, and used by him to fight members of the Avengers. She was defeated and “the Lady Liberators” were not mentioned again for the next few months. When Pepper Potts was kidnapped and was going to be coerced into revealing the true identity of the Iron Man. Mockingbird and Black Widow teamed up to rescue her; they them decided to bring back the idea of The Lady Liberators as a force of good, and they recruited new members to their cause.
