20 year old Jacob Howard’s life of superheroics and youthful struggles becomes complicated by the arrival of the Dark Overlord, an alien parasite that bonds to Jacob and contradicts the guidance of the Angel. Meanwhile, E.R.A. continues to keep a close watch on Jacob and his allies, and a vigilante from Margot’s past reemerges.
