Fan Casting Mercy Graves in Matt Reeves' The Superman - Part II

Throughout the film, we see Mercy Graves by Lex Luthor's side, acting as if she supports him in his crazed quest to kill Superman. However, towards the end of the film, where Lex arrives at his secret base in New Zealand, he kills Mercy by stabbing her through the back of the head with a skinning knife. It turns out the reason he lost to Superman in his mech-suit was because certain components of it had been sabotaged to ensure Kal-El emerged victorious, and Lex, upon finding out it was Mercy that did this behind his back, made sure to get her out of his way before she could become any bigger of a problem for him.
