This version of Red Hood had his family killed by the seedy Gotham underbelly, because his father owed money to the Falcone crime family. He himself had his face burned at Ace Chemicals, leaving him permanently scarred. He now sees Batman, but he learns the wrong lesson from this symbol of justice. He is more angry, violent and he will kill if it comes to it.
