To defend the people of Eternia, the Sorceress of Greyskull gives the Sword of Power to Prince Adam, heir to the throne of Eternia. The sword grants him the power to become He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe, and he must use its power to defend Eternia against Skeletor, an evil sorcerer who seeks to invade Greyskull and seize the ultimate knowledge of the universe. However, while He-Man defends Eternia, the Prince must keep his identity a secret.
