In the quiet outskirts of Westchester County, a man has gathered the first of many. He calls them students — but they are the world’s next evolution. Following the global chaos of the Genosha Pulse (from Children of the Atom), the man has begun assembling young mutants before governments or corporations can exploit them. His name is Charles Xavier. But unknown to him, a former ally named Nathaniel Essex (Mr. Sinister) has begun experimenting on rogue mutants for his own agenda — crafting a new breed: the Marauders. This is a quiet war, fought in shadows and psychic screams.
