Anthony Dwane Mackie (born September 23, 1978) is an American actor. He gained wide recognition for portraying Sam Wilson / Falcon / Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with the film Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), and headlining the Disney+ miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) and its continuation film Captain America: Brave New World (2025). Mackie made his film debut in 8 Mile (2002), and earned critical recognition for his roles in Brother to Brother (2004), which garnered him an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Actor, and The Hurt Locker (2008), which earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the AAFCA Awards. He also played Tupac Shakur in Notorious (2009) and Martin Luther King Jr. in the HBO film All the Way (2016). On television, Mackie starred as Takeshi Kovacs in the second season of Netflix's Altered Carbon (2020) and currently leads the Peacock series Twisted Metal (2023–present). In theatre, he has performed in Broadway and Off-Broadway adaptations, including Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, A Soldier's Play, and Carl Hancock Rux's Talk, for which he won an Obie Award in 2002. Four astronauts have their lives changed forever, when they end up being hit by a cloud of cosmic radiation. Reed Richards (John Krasinski) now has the ability to stretch his body like elastic, his wife Sue Storm (Emily Blunt) now has the ability of invisibility, her foolish younger brother Johnny Storm (Dacre Montgomery) the out of control party animal becomes a living inferno, Ben Grimm (Dwayne Johnson) becomes the Thing, a man made out of solid rock, and Reed and Sue's children Franklin Richards (Iain Armitage) and Valeria Richards (Raegan Revord) have powers just as their parents have. But there is one problem, Reed's sponsor, and old friend Victor Von Doom (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) has also been affected and with full power, and has now become an unstoppable freak of nature and a dangerous force from the cosmos has come to destroy them all which needs to be stopped, before it's too late.
