Miles heads to Roxxon's research lab, where Nuform was developed. Miles faces guards and absorbs energy from a generator to break into the place. Upon entering, he is surprised by the Prowler. Miles quickly attacks him, but he laughs and removes his mask, revealing himself to be Aaron Davis. Aaron tells Miles to run away while he can, but Miles insists on continuing, and tells his uncle to help him. Davis paves the way for Miles. Miles overhears Krieger ordering one of the scientists to create more Nuforms before the deadline, but he is having a hard time as Rick has left no notes. Miles defeats guards and arrives at the Nuform Reactor prototype. He disables a fan, and retrieves Phin's phone. He uses bioelectricity to charge his phone, and manages to watch a video. The video reveals that Rick and Phin were trying to destroy Nuform's reactor, to prevent it from being replicated. An energy shield traps Rick, and Krieger says no one will care about sick slums and a dead engineer. Phin tries but fails to break the shield and the energy consumes Rick, killing him. After watching the video, Miles decides to deactivate the reactor. Aaron unlocks it, and Miles absorbs the reactor's energy. The energy begins to consume Miles, who manages to release it, but causes the cell phone to be destroyed. Miles tries to flee, but guards appear. Prowler appears and blows a hole in the wall leading to the train tracks, and they escape.
