Vito was born on April 29, 1887, in the small Sicilian village of Corleone to Antonio Andolini and Signora Andolini. He was known to be a quiet child. In 1901, when Vito was fourteen, his father was murdered by a Sicilian Mafia boss named Don Ciccio because he refused to pay tribute to him.
