In the year 1990, after going on a mission to the planet Earth to observe the ways of humans, martian J'onn J'onzz looses connection with his home planet due to a warlord named Darkseid who destroyed J'onn's planet shortly after he left. Throughout the movie J'onn gets mistaken for a threat by the government and has to go on the run while being chased by the U.S military forces and some of Earth's greatest heroes like Hawkgirl, The Flash, and the Atom. J'onn would try and reason with the heroes but only knowing his native language would cause a problem for him. Eventually J'onn would have to use his powers of shape-shifting to become a normal guy and would lead a fairly normal life while also learning English. After years of hiding J'onn would rank up in the U.S military and once he was a high enough rank he would give a speech to the world about acceptance and tolerance which would end with him revealing himself to the world, only this time things have changed and he is accepted as one of Earth's greatest defenders. In the post credits scene we would see J'onn enter a bar in the present day now going by Jon Jones as he goes up to a woman in a suit and tie who introduces herself as Amanda Waller. Amanda tells Jon that he needs Jon's help to stop a threat that she thinks Jon might know something about, Darkseid.
