Set a long time before the events of Man of Steel, the film follows a younger and slightly more arrogant J'onn J'onzz on Mars who is at the forefront of a war between Green Martians and White Martians. The person behind said war in actuality is his twin brother Ma'alefa'ak who has made it his life's duty to destroy the Green Martian race due to his birth defects.
