Vanessa Nuala Kirby is an English actress. She rose to international prominence with her portrayal of Princess Margaret in the Netflix drama series The Crown (2016–2017), for which she won the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress. For her performance in the film Pieces of a Woman (2020), she won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress. She received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress. Kirby made her professional acting debut on stage, with acclaimed performances in the plays All My Sons (2010), A Midsummer Night's Dream (2010), Women Beware Women (2011), Three Sisters (2012), and as Stella Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire (2014). She also appeared in the action films Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018), Hobbs & Shaw (2019), and The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025), and portrayed Empress Joséphine in the historical drama Napoleon (2023). I'm writing a fic involving a whole bunch of Harry Potter characters... It's mainly centred around the Marauders, as a marauders-era AU (time travel involved), so will include them, their extended families, classmates/school friends, teachers, and other canon characters they might know during their hogwarts years/the first wizarding war/etc. I've also included a few other characters (canon and original) who they might interact with/mention (e.g. the founders, merlin and morgana, etc. - via memories, portraits, visions, etc.) to better visualise them. Finally, because this is an AU, the marauders' futures will be different to canon, so I've included a bunch of original kid characters that will be in my fic... (e.g., children of lily and james, children of sirius and remus, etc.)... let me know what you think of the casting. In terms of casting, I'm not being too strict with age... mainly because my fic spans so many generations (from Dumbledore to older Black family generations to the Marauders' generation to their children...). I've tried to be at least plausible, if not accurate... e.g.: marauders and co = ages 35-45 (obviously, how I'm casting them is by referencing how these actors/actresses looked at a younger age, more like the marauders' ages). parents/etc. = ages 45-55. grandparents/teachers/etc. = 60+. kids/younger generations = mostly under 30. Unfortunately, there are some fancasts I just love too much to let go of, regardless of whether the ages work... Any recommendations are appreciated!! Sorry for the long, rambling explanation. (All other fancasts are valid, but I'll only include the ones I'm considering for my fic.)
