Sebastian Stan (born August 13, 1982) is a Romanian-born American actor. He gained recognition for his role as Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe media franchise, beginning with the film Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), and serving as a lead actor in the Disney+ miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) and the film Thunderbolts*( 2025). On television, Stan played Carter Baizen in Gossip Girl (2007–2010) and the Mad Hatter in Once Upon a Time (2012), and starred in the miniseries Political Animals (2012). In 2022, he received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Tommy Lee in the Hulu series Pam & Tommy, earning nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. On Broadway, Stan has appeared in the Eric Bogosian play Talk Radio (2007) and starred in the William Inge play Picnic (2013). On film, Stan had a supporting role in The Martian (2015), and starred in I, Tonya (2017) and Fresh (2022). For his performance in A Different Man (2024), he won a Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. For his portrayal of a young Donald Trump in The Apprentice (2024), Stan earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. I'm writing a fic involving a whole bunch of Harry Potter characters... It's mainly centred around the Marauders, as a marauders-era AU (time travel involved), so will include them, their extended families, classmates/school friends, teachers, and other canon characters they might know during their hogwarts years/the first wizarding war/etc. I've also included a few other characters (canon and original) who they might interact with/mention (e.g. the founders, merlin and morgana, etc. - via memories, portraits, visions, etc.) to better visualise them. Finally, because this is an AU, the marauders' futures will be different to canon, so I've included a bunch of original kid characters that will be in my fic... (e.g., children of lily and james, children of sirius and remus, etc.)... let me know what you think of the casting. In terms of casting, I'm not being too strict with age... mainly because my fic spans so many generations (from Dumbledore to older Black family generations to the Marauders' generation to their children...). I've tried to be at least plausible, if not accurate... e.g.: marauders and co = ages 35-45 (obviously, how I'm casting them is by referencing how these actors/actresses looked at a younger age, more like the marauders' ages). parents/etc. = ages 45-55. grandparents/teachers/etc. = 60+. kids/younger generations = mostly under 30. Unfortunately, there are some fancasts I just love too much to let go of, regardless of whether the ages work... Any recommendations are appreciated!! Sorry for the long, rambling explanation. (All other fancasts are valid, but I'll only include the ones I'm considering for my fic.)
