Maple Legends
A lighthearted yet heartfelt sitcom set in a small Canadian town, Maple Legends follows 16-year-old Isla MacLeod, an awkward, bookish teen who learns she’s the direct descendant of a legendary Canadian hero from the 1800s—a shapeshifting, canoe-paddling trickster spirit. As Isla grapples with her newfound powers and heritage, she navigates the everyday drama of high school, family expectations, and her growing crush on the school’s popular lacrosse captain, Devon O'Connor. Blending the awkward charm of Degrassi with the coming-of-age fantasy of The Princess Diaries, Maple Legends explores how Isla’s newfound legacy turns her life upside down in hilarious ways. As she learns about her magical ancestry, she’s pulled into a world of quirky Canadian mythology—like mischievous forest creatures, over-the-top hockey heroes, and wise old grandmothers who talk to trees.
