Long Live the Queen
Dracula in the Vampire Diaries Universe
More than a thousand years before the Birth of the Mikaelson Family, Countess Elaina Marie Petrova-Alucard was afflicted by a terrible plague. To save her from death, her father used Dark Magic to turn her into the First Vampire. Millennia later, after surviving the sacrifice to restore Niklaus Mikaelson's Hybrid nature and then the threat of Mikael months later, Elena Gilbert suffers a catastrophic betrayal that sees her awakening with the memories and power of the most infamous Vampire in History. Count Dracula! Well... *Countess*, but it's the same thing.
