Fan Casting Rache in Liveship Trilogy (Ship of Magic/The Mad Ship/Ship of Destiny)

Rache is a slave originally purchased by Davad Restart who was given to the Vestrit family to care for the ailing Ephron Vestrit. Rache, her husband, and her young son became slaves in Jamaillia after going into debt. Her husband was sent to Chalced, with Rache and her son following. Rache's son became violently ill on the journey and likely died of dehydration. Rache's despair caused the ship's crew to regard her as unlucky, and she was put ashore in Bingtown. Davad Restart accepted Rache as an indentured servant in his household. When Ephron Vestrit's health declined, Davad sent Rache to assist Ronica in caring for her husband.
