Herbert Landon is a primary villain of an arc in season 2 and a secondary villain of seasons 3, 4 and 5 - Herbert Landon is a scientist and businessman obsessed with destroying all mutants as he views them as abominations undeserving of life. He lies to the world saying that he is working on a cure for all mutants and has mutant volunteers jump into the acidic liquid as if its the cure. After spider man realizes that Herbert is destroying mutants he battles him and the liquid deforms him.
